This is the FreeTimer privacy policy for Google Play, the App Store, and desktop builds.
FreeTimer is a focus timer. It has no ads and no ad-tracking SDKs. It uses Firebase Crashlytics (Android, iOS) and Sentry (Windows, macOS) to report crashes, and Google Analytics for Firebase (Android, iOS) for basic usage statistics (see below).
Tasks, groups, completed sessions, and settings such as theme and alerts stay on this device. Nothing about your tasks is sent off the device unless you turn on an optional feature below. If you export a backup, that file stays wherever you save it. On mobile, the app may also keep a local auto-backup copy.
If you sign in with Google, a copy of your tasks and history is stored only in this app’s hidden Google Drive app-data folder, not in your regular Drive files. Disconnecting in the app or revoking access in your Google Account stops further sync.
If the home-screen quote is on, the app may fetch the day’s quote from our Cloudflare R2 cache, and if that is missing, from ZenQuotes.io. Those requests do not include your tasks or account. The hosts can see a network address. Turning the quote off in Settings stops further requests.
A few sounds are bundled on the device. Extra catalog entries and audio files download from Cloudflare R2 when you use them. Those requests do not include your tasks or account.
Feedback you send goes through FormSubmit to contact@jacobs-factory.com. We keep messages only as needed to reply. On Android, Google Play Billing handles tips; the app never receives your card number. On the App Store (iPhone), Apple’s in-app purchase handles tips; the app never receives your card details. The Mac app has no tips. If you tip via Ko-fi, Ko-fi’s policy applies.
When the mobile app crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics (Google) so we can fix the bug. A report contains the error details and stack trace, device model, OS and app version, and a random installation ID. It does not include your tasks, history, email, or Google account. Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days. The Windows and macOS apps send the same kind of report (error details, stack trace, OS and app version) to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), which keeps it for up to 90 days. On desktop you can turn crash reports off in Settings.
The Android and iOS apps use Google Analytics for Firebase (Google) to count how features are used, for example which focus sound is picked and the planned timer length (in ranges). This comes with a random app-instance ID, device model, OS and app version, and the approximate country Google derives from the connection. It does not include your tasks, history, email, Google account, or advertising ID, and it is not used for ads or for tracking you across other apps. Google keeps this data for up to 14 months. The Windows and macOS apps do not send usage statistics. You can turn usage statistics off in Settings at any time.
Timer-complete alerts are local device notifications. They are not sent through a server.
Tasks, history, and settings: in FreeTimer, open Settings and tap Reset, or uninstall the app. If Google sync is connected, Reset also deletes the copy in Google Drive app data. Feedback: email contact@jacobs-factory.com with the subject “FreeTimer data deletion” from the address you used, and we will delete your messages within 30 days. Crash reports: deleted automatically after 90 days. Usage statistics: deleted automatically after up to 14 months, and you can stop sending them in Settings. Crash reports and usage statistics contain no name, email, or account, so we cannot look them up per person.
Device data remains until you delete the app or clear data in Settings. If you used Google sync, revoke access in your Google Account to stop further sync. Crash reports are deleted automatically after 90 days, and usage statistics after up to 14 months. FreeTimer is not directed at children under 13, or under 14 in Korea. If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated.

Google 계정으로 로그인하면 작업·기록 사본이 이 앱 전용 Google Drive 숨은 폴더(app data)에만 저장되며, 일반 Drive 파일 목록에는 보이지 않습니다. 앱에서 연결을 끊거나 Google 계정에서 접근을 해제하면 이후 동기화는 멈춥니다.
홈 화면 격언이 켜져 있으면 Cloudflare R2 캐시에서 오늘의 명언을 가져오고, 없으면 ZenQuotes.io에 요청할 수 있습니다. 요청에 작업이나 계정 정보는 들어가지 않습니다. 해당 호스트는 네트워크 주소를 볼 수 있습니다. 설정에서 끄면 이후 요청은 멈춥니다.
일부 사운드는 앱에 포함되어 있습니다. 추가 목록과 오디오 파일은 사용할 때 Cloudflare R2에서 내려받습니다. 이 요청에 작업이나 계정 정보는 들어가지 않습니다.
