By using the Play Cadence app (“the App”) on Android or iPhone you agree to these terms. On iPhone you also agree to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/); where they differ, these terms add to Apple’s agreement for this App.
Play Cadence is a treadmill cadence game. The phone microphone estimates steps per minute on the device. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice.
Use a treadmill’s safety clip and keep your attention on the belt. Do not look at or handle the phone in a way that makes you lose balance. Set a speed you can hold safely; a track’s tempo is a target, not an instruction to run faster. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. You use the App at your own risk.
Sign-in is optional (Google on Android, Apple on iPhone); the App works without it. If you sign in, official-track scores post to a public world board under your display name (or “Runner”). Do not try to post scores you did not earn, for example by playing recorded audio or tampering with requests; we may remove such scores or display names we find offensive. You can delete your account at any time: on iPhone in Settings → World ranking → Delete account, or by emailing contact@jacobs-factory.com. How we handle this data is described in the privacy policy (https://jacobs-factory.com/play-cadence/privacy).
Remove ads, the music pack, and tips are in-app purchases through Google Play or the App Store. The store processes payment and refunds under its own terms; request refunds from Google Play or from Apple (https://reportaproblem.apple.com). Remove ads and the music pack are one-time purchases tied to your store account; use Restore purchases on a new phone. Tips are a thank-you and do not unlock content. Music in the music pack is licensed for play inside the App only.
The App shows ads from Google AdMob on menu and setup screens, never during a run, until you buy Remove ads. Mixes open in YouTube’s player, which is provided by Google under YouTube’s Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.
The App is provided as-is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for lost data, missed or removed scores, or inability to use the App. Cadence and distance are estimates. We may change or discontinue features, tracks, or the world board. You may stop using the App at any time and delete it.
Questions: contact@jacobs-factory.com. These terms may change; the date at the top will be updated. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Play Cadence
